Station: [15] Arnt Cratz

“Master roofer Arnt Cratz is working high up on the castle’s north tower. In his blue doublet, he is hammering the valuable Moselle slate onto the wood casing. Above him, so always within range, his assistant is conducting his own work, aided by two handymen fetching more slabs of slate. This expensive material is taken to be particularly durable. A roof of slate is especially resistant to the abundant showers this region is known for. Master Cratz does at times travel to the Moselle himself to procure more slate. Our sources tell us he demonstrably accompanied a shipment to Horst himself. He valued good construction material.”
