Station: [107] Mögglingen Gardens

F: You may already have noticed.

M: Perhaps you even nosed the scent.

F: Here in the village, there's a riot of flowers and fragrance on almost every street corner. All those gardens were created during the Rems Valley Horticultural Show 2019 – and since then, these botanical gems have been carefully tended by a group of volunteers.

M: If you'd like to explore the gardens in more detail, all you need to do is follow the Dorfblick circular trail. It is well signposted with little white information panels. If you decide to go ahead, one of the delights you'll discover is the scented rose garden at the corner of Bahnhofstrasse and Heuchlinger Strasse. The 230 rose bushes don't just present a stunning picture, they're also amazingly fragrant.

F: Not far from the rose garden, there's an herbaceous perennial garden with more than 400 annuals and perennials as well as plants grown from tubers and bulbs. On the opposite side of the street, there's a tree nursery, nicknamed "das Klassenzimmer" – "the classroom". Each of the gardens has a door symbolically inviting you to enter. A sign provides information about what you'll discover at each site.
