Saint Matthias Church in Sosberg. Our church was built in 1769. In 2019, we celebrated the 250th anniversary with a divine service, followed by a cozy gathering in the community house. At this event, the sum of €250 that was raised was donated to the palliative care unit at Zell/Mosel Hospital. A heartfelt thank you is extended to everyone who contributed to this success. 1769 Construction of the church1931 On 31.01.1931, the Blessed Sacrament was transferred to Sosberg1947 Renovation including the construction of a new altar 1950 First Corpus Christi procession1959 Renovation with the construction of a memorial for the fallen and missing soldiers of both World Wars1976 Restoration of the Holy Figures1992 Installation of electric bells + 2 new bells from Mabilon&Co Saarburg.
