In 1935, there was a fire in the village in which the bakery burned down. It was decided to build two new bakeries. One in the lower village near the Petry store, the other in the upper village. This made it a shorter distance to the bakery for the people of the upper and lower villages. The bakery in the upper village is still in operation once a year to this day. On June 16, 1991, a town meeting was held to decide upon the future use of the old bakery in the upper village. After thorough discussion, the meeting decided to preserve the bakery oven and the fire station. A small village square is to be created with a bus stop and landscaping. On July 10, 1991, the council decided to implement the design developed by the planning office with a few additions. Once a year, in mid-September, bread is baked in the old bakery, followed by cakes, pizzas, and similar items. In 1954, the first public bus connection was established, running twice a week. In 1975, a bus stop was built at the bakery. In 1995, the bakery in the upper village was torn down, but the oven and fire station were preserved.
