Röslau has around 2100 inhabitants and several districts. It is beautifully situated on the Bavarian upper reaches of the Eger at an altitude of 555 to 602 meters. The "Zwölfgipfelblick" viewpoint is the geographical center of the Fichtelgebirge and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Six kilometers north of the district town of Wunsiedel (Festspiele, rock labyrinth), Röslau can be reached quickly via the Nuremberg-Berlin freeway from the Gefrees exit (20 km) via Weißenstadt with its lake (swimming, sailing, surfing).
The community library in the community center, hiking trails of the Fichtelgebirgsverein, 25 kilometers of circular hiking trails and the Upper Franconia cycle path network invite you to an active vacation as well as opportunities for fishing, curling, shooting, tennis or a vacation activity for children. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water sports, groomed ski slopes and cross-country ski trails are just a short distance away, as are numerous museums (e.g. Porcelain Museum, Fichtelgebirge Museum, German Steam Locomotive Museum). Our train station is the highest on the main Berlin-Munich line.
