Station: [19] Healing of the Paralytic
Stop pushing! Quiet back there! You’re stepping on my toes! Move your toes somewhere else! What’s there to see up front? All that pushing isn’t helping anyone. We’re not pushing! Four men are climbing onto the roof of the house and breaking through it. They lower a paralyzed man down through the hole—right where Jesus is standing. Jesus looks up in amazement and says to the man they’ve lowered down: “Your sins are forgiven.” Take your stretcher—get up—and walk!” The people around Jesus are pushing: “Don’t act so high and mighty! What is he saying to him? Be quiet! Look what he’s doing—he’s getting up! It’s unbelievable! He’s walking—that’s impossible! He’s taking the stretcher. And walking!”
