Station: [28] Silver Cellar and Pantry
They are located in the utility rooms beneath the former castle kitchen. Today, historical tableware is stored here. It is still used on special occasions. This includes gold and silverwork, glassware, and porcelain from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. The Hohenzollern Castle weapons collection is also housed here today. A spiral staircase leads even deeper down from here. Below lie the casemates—hidden, protected rooms. Due to their unique construction, they were considered bombproof. The corridors and rooms were buried for a long time. They were not rediscovered until 2001. Three years later, they were opened to the public.
