Der Kleine Tierpark Göppingen e.V. (Goeppingen Small Zoo Association) emerged from the aquarium association founded in 1892. Since 1923, the association has been located on its current site, which was expanded into a zoo in 1952. It is home to over 200 small and large animals. Exotic animals such as servals, flamingos, camels, marmosets, and coatis have found a home here alongside native species. Thanks to its manageable size and the opportunity to experience the animals up close and even feed some of them, it offers families with small children in particular the chance to have a wonderful time.
Der Tierpark Göppingen e.V. is a non-profit association that aims to bring the children of Goeppingen and the surrounding area closer to the animal world, while also ensuring that older and sick animals find a species-appropriate home.
The zoo offers guided tours for kindergartens, schools, and other groups. Upon request, institutions (kindergartens, schools, etc.) can also be visited with transportable and tame animals.
