The EWS Arena is a sports and event hall in Goeppingen, Germany, where handball matches, concerts, and shows take place.

Description

The EWS Arena is a charming multifunctional arena that opened in 1967 and was expanded and thoroughly modernized in 2009. It hosts top-class sporting events and high-quality cultural events as well as daily school and amateur sports. Stars such as Luke Mockridge, Dieter Nuhr, The BossHoss, Alice Cooper, Bülent Ceylan, Sascha Grammel, and Steffen Henssler have already performed at the arena.

 

FRISCH AUF! Göppingen and Frisch Auf Frauen, who play in the first and second German handball leagues, respectively, also call the Hölle Süd (Hell South) section of the EWS Arena home for their home games.

 

In addition to FRISCH AUF! Göppingen, top-class sporting events such as the German Gymnastics Championships, World Series of Boxing, and the Turngala (a well-known gymnastics show in Germany) attract up to 6,000 spectators.
