The Protestant Stadtkirche Lübz from the 16th century is one of the most significant historical buildings of the city. The post-gothic brick church with a striking west tower combines late Gothic architecture with elements of the Renaissance.
Inside, the bright hall space with a wooden barrel vault and a rich historical interior impress. The special eye-catcher is the princely tomb of Duchess Sophia of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf (17th century). This is complemented by numerous noble epitaphs, artistic coat of arms panes, a magnificently carved pulpit, and a baptismal font from 1605.
A worthwhile visit for culture and history enthusiasts on a tour through the old town of Lübz.
