Description

The museum, newly established on 10.9.2023 (located in the former primary school building - not wheelchair accessible on the first floor), deals with the robbers and bandits of Upper Swabia and Swabia, such as Hannikel, Schwarzer Veri, Rosenberger, women on the road (from the vagrant to the robber), the Schwarze Lies (who was executed by the sword in Oberdischingen in 1787). Hand and foot shackles, a neck fiddle, thief tricks, and a reconstruction of the Oberdischingen Castle, which burned down in 1807, as well as a functioning wrought-iron clock from 1767, which used to mark the last hours for condemned delinquents. An extraordinary museum in the southern German region that illustrates the period around 1800 in Upper Swabia and Oberdischingen. Opening hours: Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Admission free - donations welcome.
