The Überwald Museum is located in the old Zent town hall dating from 1594.
What did the people of the Überwald live on? You can find out in our exhibition rooms. The forest as a source of livelihood, traditional crafts, mining and a large collection of coat hangers can be experienced across three floors. One room is dedicated to the Wald-Michelbach writer Adam Karrillon, the first Büchner Prize laureate and a recipient of the Schiller Prize. In the foyer a historic elementary school has been set up. The information center of the Global Geopark Bergstraße-Odenwald is also located here.
