In the heart of Tübingen, Museum Boxenstop presents a private collection of automobiles and toys, offering insights into the historical and technical objects within these collecting fields.
The museum is located in Tübingen and serves as the permanent exhibition venue for the collections on display.
The museum opened in 1985 and initially offered about 200 square meters of exhibition space. Through several expansion phases the area was enlarged and today amounts to around 1,200 square meters; the most recent expansion took place in 2017.
The exhibition comprises a total of 70 vehicles, including cars, motorcycles and bicycles, as well as more than 1,000 toys. It thus presents an extensive private collection that documents both the history of technology and the history of toys.
