Description

The memorial commemorates the fate of at least 13,000 prisoners who were detained and mistreated in Hinzert and its satellite camps. At its center are the Atonement Chapel, the memorial by Lucien Wercollier, and the honor cemetery. With the help of audio guides, visitors can get information and hear eyewitness testimonies. Group tours are also offered (advance registration may be required); events take place and traveling exhibitions are shown. Please feel free to find more information on the website.
