Description
The Haus Am Horn is the only architectural project realized by the Bauhaus in Weimar. It was constructed in 1923 as an experimental house for the Bauhaus exhibition. Here, masters and students showcased for the first time their vision of modern building and living.
Based on the exhibition concept from 1923, all rooms of the single-story experimental house are accessible. Additionally, exemplary reconstructions of the original furnishings provide an impression of the initial setup. A comprehensive media guide provides information about the creation of the house and its varied use and reception as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
For conservation reasons, the number of visitors to the Haus Am Horn is limited. Visits are only possible at set times. We recommend booking tickets in advance.
Please note that there are no parking or turning facilities at Am Horn. Pedestrians are advised to choose the path through the park at the Ilm.
