The Senckenberg Natural Museum Dresden, located in the historic Japanese Palace, invites explorers of all ages to discover the fascinating world of natural sciences. Through engaging rotating exhibitions, visitors can marvel at unique specimens from the Senckenberg Natural Collections Dresden (SNSD) – from impressive fossils and dazzling minerals to rare animal specimens.
As part of the Leibniz Association and the renowned Senckenberg Research Institute, the SNSD houses an extensive collection of over 8 million objects spanning geology, mineralogy, and zoology. Scientists at SNSD study the diversity of life and the history of our planet.
Visitors can look forward to a captivating blend of science, history, and aesthetics – a museum experience designed to inspire curiosity and hands-on exploration!
Please note: There are no public exhibitions at the SNSD research facility in Dresden-Klotzsche (Königsbrücker Landstraße 159).
