Description
Spread across three floors, the exhibition at Villa Medica guides visitors through the medical history of the 19th and 20th centuries – an exciting period of transformation, during which medicine evolved from pre-modern superstition into a modern science. You may experience the everyday working life of medical doctors, pharmacists, and midwives. Throughout the exhibition, the fictional Rheesing family accompanies you in numerous media stations.
In addition to its permanent exhibition on the history of medicine, Villa Medica also houses a separate section dedicated to changing special exhibitions on a variety of topics ranging from from art to culture, and history.
