At the Science Museum we promote the knowledge and scientific realities of the country. This is carried out through the work of a great team that conducts research for the conception of a varied program of exhibitions, activities for the general public and community projects with national and international transcendence. It is the oldest museum in Venezuela, founded in 1875. It protects a cultural heritage of more than 125,000 pieces. Our Collections are of: Archaeology, Physical Anthropology, Ethnography, Paleontology, Herpetology, Ichthyology, Teriology, Invertebrates, Ornithology and Mineralogy. Mission: The Science Museum is a Venezuelan institution that serves to popularize science and provides educational spaces to promote heritage values. Vision: To be a national and international reference in communicating scientific knowledge, aiming at social transformation oriented to the preservation of life on the planet.
