Description
The Römermuseum in der Schule is located in Rißtissen, a district of Ehingen in Baden-Württemberg; it is a small archaeological museum housed in the local primary school.
The museum was founded in 1960 and has since exhibited finds from the former fort Rißtissen and the associated vicus Riusiava.
The exhibition includes finds of various kinds: oil lamps, coins and relief casts are on display, as are clay moulds that point to a Roman counterfeiting workshop. In addition, the collection shows roof tiles and household ceramics as well as metal objects and weapons from Roman and Alamannic times.
A plan of the fort illustrates the layout, organisation and spatial extent of the historic site.
