A former pumping station of the Wilhelmshall Saltworks, the Lower Drill House at the Prim, was converted into the Salt Museum in 1981. With a rund brine tank relocated there in 1983, it gained a unique brine reservoir as an exhibition building.
The Saltworks Museum “Unteres Bohrhaus” showcases the history of salt production on the upper Neckar region, and specifically the production of boiling salt at the Wilhelmshall saltworks in Rottweil-Altstadt.
