The magnificent Historic Town Hall was constructed between 1484 and 1512 and, with a height of 25 meters and more than 1,000 square meters of usable space, ranks among the most significant secular buildings in the region. Unlike most buildings of its time, it was built entirely of stone and was once adorned with elaborate façade paintings.
Particularly impressive are the double-flight ceremonial staircase, which leads directly to the grand hall, as well as the historic rooms such as the wood-paneled Citizens’ Hall, the former mayor’s chamber—now a popular wedding room—and the traditional council chamber.
The grand hall, covering approximately 350 square meters, has provided space for festivities, celebrations, and assemblies for centuries. Even today, it continues to serve as a venue for weddings, receptions, and cultural events.
