Have you ever heard of Eldenburg?
Right here, where the park in the moat now invites you to linger, once stood the medieval Eldenburg - the nucleus of the city of Lübz. The name lives on today: The darkly paved section in front of the Hotel Zur Eldenburg reminds of the former drawbridge, which was once used to enter the castle. Anyone who stands here is thus moving right through history.
The Park in the Moat is now a lively meeting place for young and old - in the heart of Lübz. Children enjoy the play equipment Quoi, while directly next door, the ice cream parlour with original GDR soft ice cream offers nostalgic delight. A fountain with the special sculpture of the "Lübzer umbrella children" adds an artistic accent and makes the park unique.
A real highlight is the historic Berlin gas lamp - if you listen carefully when it lights up, you can still hear its soft hissing. Numerous seating areas invite you to linger and offer a magnificent view of the market square, the Amtsturm, the old mill and the historic Amtshaus.
A place where history, pleasure, and present combine in a relaxed way.
