The miniature view of the Potsdam Palace Sanssouci can be found at Seebadallee 50. The Rangsdorf farmer and community leader, Otto Henning, was advised by his doctor to take up a hobby to compensate for overwork and insomnia. With the Nazis taking power, he was removed from his position as community leader. So, in the mid-1930s, Otto Henning began constructing miniature replicas of tourist attractions out of concrete, most of which he had only seen on postcards. A park-like installation was created, including Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Kyffhäuser monument, Brandenburg Gate, Garrison Church of Potsdam, and the replica of Sanssouci Palace with vineyard terraces and Dutch mill. Unfortunately, only Sanssouci, the mill, and the Garrison Church of Potsdam have survived. They were relocated to their current location after 1945. The other miniatures were demolished.
The site is listed as a protected monument, but its decay can only be halted with the owner's consent.
