Stops 2 and 3 deal with the castle’s architectural history. You’ll be able to see historical views of the castle on your smartphone. These will give you an idea of how the castle has changed over the centuries. Stops 4 to 9 will take you from the former Liegemen’s Settlement, the Burgmannensiedlung, up to the castle proper. There, you’ll have a choice. You can either take part in one of our hourly guided tours of the castle, or you can carry on with the audio tour and visit the Family Museum. You can even do both, first one, and then the other. At the Family Museum, stops 10 to 30 provide an insight into the history of the Counts and Princes of Solms-Braunfels. We draw on numerous exhibits from the private estates of family members to tell their stories.
