Description

The mill is aye a-milling … and it’s in Donsbrüggen, a district of Kleve on the beautiful Lower Rhine. Surrounded by green fields and meadows, it has a stately air to it as the sails turn in the wind. The Old Donsbrüggen Mill started operating in 1824 and is still working today, some two centuries later. Every Saturday, the grain milled here is turned into delicious wholemeal loaves in the bakery. Visitors can tour the mill and even climb to the top of the tower. The adjoining museum has displays documenting the mill’s history, but it also features model mills from all over the world.
