Station: [15] Special Exhibitions

And what do you think of our current special exhibition? As a rule, we show three to four special exhibitions a year – on contemporary artistic approaches, on Renaissance artists or on classical modernism.

This room can also tell you something about the history of the house. The stucco ceiling with its rococo ornaments and delicate, flowering branches in high relief is a reflection of its time. Until the 1990s, this space was split into several small rooms. However, the ceiling, with its late Baroque elements, had clearly been shared by all those rooms. As part of the restoration work in the mid-1990s, the space was restored to its 16th century dimensions. The ceiling was reconstructed in the style of the 18th century.

You’ll see a completely different kind of ceiling in the next room. Please pass along the narrow corridor to get there.
