Description

The name already reveals where the place name originates. Many decades ago, a family named Paes operated a water mill at this location. The pond is fed by partially visible springs, hence the name "Seven Springs". This is a recreation area that can entertain the whole family all year round. The pond with ducks swimming on it imparts a sense of serenity and romance to the visitor. It's no wonder many bridal couples choose to take their wedding photos here. Weddings can be held in the nearby wedding chapel, which is part of the Straelen registry office. The former church building can accommodate 80 people. In its outdoor area, guests can be entertained during receptions. The nearby forest playground offers a wonderful diversion for many children. Of course, one can simply take a walk in the "Seven Springs" recreation area, listen to the rustling of the wind in the treetops, or enjoy the sunset over Venlo.
