Since 2008, the Weinstadt Local History Museum has been housed at Pflaster 14 in Endersbach, one of the best-preserved medieval half-timbered houses in the Rems-Murr district. Built in 1455, the historic building is itself one of the museum's most remarkable exhibits.
The museum owes its existence and continued success largely to the dedication of volunteers from Endersbach, who actively support its work through the museum's friends' association.
Visitors can explore authentically furnished historic living quarters, an impressive collection of decorative stove tiles, and exhibitions illustrating almost every aspect of everyday life and work in past centuries. The displays cover traditional agriculture and viticulture, a wide range of local crafts—particularly textile production—as well as the history of local businesses, including a pharmacy with a tradition of more than 200 years. Historic vehicles and a diverse collection of household objects further bring the region's rich cultural heritage to life.
Guided tours for schools and kindergartens in Weinstadt are offered free of charge.
