The House of Paper is the world’s first museum of its kind dedicated exclusively to contemporary fine paper art. We do not show art ON paper, such as drawings or paintings, but art MADE FROM paper. The material paper is presented here as a primary visual and design medium in its surprising variety and boundless creative potential.
Our exhibition presents outstanding paper art in a wide range of media and combinations: objects, sewn paper works, papercut, paper and porcelain, charred paper, and conceptual art. The artists on display include both internationally well-established names and young, up-and-coming talents.
Alongside the collection, the museum also maintains a steadily growing library of artist and exhibition catalogues as well as various specialist publications on modern and contemporary paper art.
