The Burgwallinsel is a gem. From the 9th to the 12th century, it served as a settlement for the Slavs and could be reached via a 750-meter-long bridge - a technically perfect structure without nails. Today, visitors reach the island via ferry or the launch "Regulus". A restaurant with guest beds, a natural beach, boat rentals, playground and hiking trail invite you to relax. In 2010, the UNESCO declared the island as a "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" worthy of protection.
