The municipality of Oberrot presents itself to the visitor in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park, located directly on the Idyllische Straße, as a municipality where tourism and business are compatible side by side. The community, which has around 3,600 inhabitants, offers numerous tourist attractions and many attractive local recreational destinations. Culturally interested visitors will find the over 1,200-year-old Evangelical Church of St. Bonifatius, the former free aristocratic seat and the former office building in Oberrot, the St. Michael's Church and the Stielberg Chapel with the historic Stations of the Cross in Hausen an der Rot, as well as the saw mill museum in Badhaus. The Way of St. James runs directly through Oberrot and the Limes hiking trail also leads along the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the immediate vicinity of Oberrot. A tennis facility, two golf courses, well-signposted hiking and cycling trails and cross-country ski trails prepared in winter offer plenty of opportunity for those who enjoy sport and exercise. The community presents itself with fully developed building areas in a beautiful location, commercial space and an attractive infrastructure. The middle center of Schwäbisch Hall, the town of Gaildorf and the town of Murrhardt (with the Stuttgart region transport association) directly border the community.
