Welcome to Südlohn and Oeding - two lively villages in the countryside, right on the German-Dutch border

Südlohn and Oeding are two lively villages surrounded by greenery and ideal starting points for exploring the German-Dutch border region. On foot, by bike or motorized. The "boundless" diversity is proverbial in Südlohn. Witnesses to the past, art-historical treasures and a varied, well-kept hotel and restaurant scene promise active vacation enjoyment - "right in the middle" of the German-Dutch Westmünsterland-Achterhoek vacation region. Architectural highlights include the Lohn house, the Oeding castle tower and the Menke tower windmill.

Go on a journey of discovery along the green border! There are culinary, cultural and amusing highlights to discover on both sides of the border. Whether corn maze and farmer's golf, Westphalian cuisine, cheese farm and winery - on "Pättkes" and former smugglers' paths, across "green borders" and through wonderful nature (conservation) areas, the journey is always the destination.

Cyclists will find two wonderful routes in Südlohn, the 100 Castles Route and the Flamingo Route, which invite you to take extended cycle tours through the Münsterland region. But there are of course more routes to choose from.
