Station: [25] The German Huguenot Society

The German Huguenot Society's mission is to maintain, research and promote the history and tradition of the Huguenots. The society sponsors our museum and has its offices on the third floor of this old cigar factory. The German Huguenot Centre also hosts a picture archive and a specialist library with many thousands of volumes.
The Huguenots succeeded in preserving their culture and identity over centuries and have seen it influence other nations. Today, many people with Huguenot roots want to find out more about their ancestors. The genealogical research centre, also on the 3rd floor, assists them in that endeavour.
The aim of the German Huguenot Society is to build bridges between the past, the present and the future. National and international projects, as well as the consolidation of the Franco-German friendship, are all significant here. As is the commitment to caring for the poor and for religious refugees in the spirit of the Reformed faith and the tradition of charity. Please feel free to pick up a booklet with more information.
