Station: [65] Programmes at the Natural History Museum

That brings us to the end of our tour. But the Natural History Society has a great deal more to offer!

As well as our permanent exhibitions and special shows, we provide guided tours on selected subjects as well as a wide range of activities. Participants are even allowed to touch the objects and try them out.

On our Stone Age tour, visitors can handle furs, bones, antlers, copies of prehistoric tools as well as flint and tinder. Everyone can try their hand at cutting leather with a stone knife, crushing grains with a rubbing stone or drawing with charcoal and red ochre. After exploring the rock-cut city of Petra, visitors have the opportunity to design a mosaic or a wax tablet, create a fragrance, paint pottery or write on papyrus. And anyone who feels inspired by the visit to the ethnology department can make their own masks or rhythm instruments ... and of course immediately try them out!

These programmes are open to all groups: from kindergartens to schools and clubs, children's birthday parties and of course adults, too! And if you have something special in mind, we’ll do our best to oblige.

During the school holidays, we also offer holiday programmes in cooperation with the City of Nuremberg’s Youth Welfare Office. If you go to our website, you’ll find these and other programmes as well as our contact addresses. We look forward to your visit!

See you soon and Servus!
