The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, located in the heart of Düsseldorf, is one of Europe’s outstanding
art venues. Here, you can encounter the significant masters of classical modernism and bold contemporary
voices. Its exceptional, high-caliber collections and internationally acclaimed temporary exhibitions make art a real experience for everyone. Accessible, multilingual, intergenerational, open. K20 – Museum of Modern Art
K20 on Grabbeplatz is home to great art. Powerful, striking, and spacious – the perfect venue for masters of modern art. Since 1961, the permanent collection has grown to include works by Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Gabriele Münter, Louise Bourgeois, Paul Klee, Helen Frankenthaler, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Sonia Delaunay, Joseph Beuys, Gerhard Richter, and many others. Every year, the museum hosts special exhibitions featuring renowned artists from modern art history, including Etel Adnan, Marc Chagall, Hilma af Klint, and Wassily Kandinsky.
