A non-profit museum dedicated to the research and exhibition of numismatics. The collection consists of 275,000 coins, paper currency, medals and related numismatic objects representing the complete history of money from the introduction of coinage through to the modern day.
Current exhibits include the Harry W. Bass, Jr. display of U.S. Gold coins and patterns, the "History of Money" exhibt covering numismatic history from the invention of coins "Treasures of the Deep" display about sunken treasure and the science behind its recovery and a special display gallery featuring great rarities such as two U.S. 1804 dollars, known as the "King of U.S. Coins." The museum also has a working mini-mint as well as a Kid Zone where visitors of all ages can experience coins and how they are made first hand.
