The Romano-Germanic Museum in the Belgisches Haus in Cäcilienstraße preserves the archaeological heritage of the city and the surrounding area. Finds from prehistory to the early Middle Ages show the development and importance of Cologne through the centuries. As well as providing an insight into life in the Roman city, the museum also houses the world's largest collection of Roman glass.
THE MUSEUM ON RONCALLIPLATZ IS CLOSED DUE TO RENOVATION WORK.
