Description
In the crypt on the Jakobskirchhof, Friedrich Schiller was buried on the night of May 11th to 12th, 1805. In 1827, the transfer of his supposed remains to the princely crypt took place. Scientific investigations revealed that the bones actually belonged to other individuals. The coffin in the princely crypt is empty today.
