The Museum of Westphalian Literature presents the regional literary history from the medieval beginnings of reading culture to the present day. In addition to valuable exhibits, such as the first Low German Bible from the late 15th century, a variety of media offerings and installations form independent elements of literary education.
The museum is located on the cultural property Haus Nottbeck, a former manor in Oelde-Stromberg. The renowned program ranges from readings, exhibitions, performances, cabaret, comedy, poetry slam to theater performances and concerts from the fields of jazz, pop, rock and classical music.
