The museum is housed in the Ciäsa Granda, a patrician house in Stampa, built between 1568 – 1581. In the Giacometti – Varlin hall the visitor will find works by Giovanni, Augusto, Alberto and Diego Giacometti, as well as by Varlin (Willy Guggenheim). On other floors there is a comprehensive collection of the fauna and the minerals of the region. Also presented is the working of serpentine, the chestnut, a smithy and the trade of the pastry bakers from the Grisons. Part of the museum is the atelier of Giovanni Giacometti, where also Alberto worked until his demise. Das Museum ist untergebracht in der Ciäsa Granda, ein imposantes Patrizierhaus in Stampa, errichtet zwischen 1568 – 1581. Im Giacometti – Varlin Saal sind Werke ausgestellt von Giovanni, Augusto, Alberto und Diego Giacometti, wie auch von Varlin (Willy Guggenheim). Auf weiteren Stockwerken findet der Besucher eine umfassende Sammlung der Fauna und Mineralien der Region. Ausserdem sind verschiedene Arten von Handwerk dargestellt, wie die Verarbeitung von Serpentin, der Edelkastanie, eine Schmiede, Webstühle und die Verbreitung der Bündner Zuckerbäcker. Zum Museum gehört auch das Atelier von Giovanni Giacometti, wo auch Alberto bis zu seinem Tod gearbeitet hat. Ausser der permanenten Ausstellung von Kunstwerken werden auch temporäre Ausstellungen organisiert. Le musée se trouve à Stampa dans la maison patricienne Ciäsa Granda, construite entre 1568 – 1581. Dans la salle Giacometti – Varlin sont exposés des œuvres par Giovanni, Augusto, Alberto e Diego Giacometti, ainsi que par Varlin (Willy Guggenheim). Sur des autres étages, le visiteur trouve la faune e les minéraux de la région. En plus sont mis en scène le travail du serpentin, la châtaigne, une ferronnerie e les pâtissiers des Grisons. L’atelier de Giovanni Giacometti, ou Alberto aussi travaillait jusque à la fin de sa vie, fait par du musée. Il museo è allestito all'interno della Ciäsa Granda, un'imponente casa patriziale eretta fra il 1568 ed il 1581. Nella sala Giacometti-Varlin sono esposte opere di Giovanni, Augusto, Alberto e Diego Giacometti come pure del pittore Varlin (Willy Guggenheim). Una sezione relativa alla storia naturale raccoglie vari esemplari di fauna della valle. La vasta collezioni di minerali della regione comprende oltre 450 pezzi. Il modello della pasticceria è dedicato ai bregagliotti emigrati all’estero che divennero celebri pasticcieri. Il museo riproduce inoltre un'officina di laveggiaio (colui che lavora il sasso - cosiddetto lavecc- su di un tornio), un'officina di fabbro-maniscalco ed una sala di tessitura. Il atelier da Giovanni e Alberto Giacometti anche fa parte del museo. Nel periodo estivo si organizzano esposizioni temporanee.
