With a tradition stretching back over a hundred years, the Leipzig Natural History Museum is a central institution for intergenerational scientific education. As an archive of biodiversity, it is a memory of a unique scientific history - a place of science where flora, fauna, geology and archaeology are collected, preserved and researched. There is a unique wealth of knowledge and an invaluable gene pool. Both must be preserved and cared for in order to enable future generations to see the world in all its diversity.
