Explore one of the oldest places in Bavaria. Seated at the Danube between the cities of Passau and Deggendorf, Künzing has seen many people come and go in the last 7.000 years. In Roman Times, Künzing was at the frontier of the Roman Empire. The Romans erected the fort "Quintana" to defend the border. The remains of a wooden amphitheatre close to the Museum belong to the World Heritage "Frontiers of the Roman Empire - Danube Limes (western part)". These and other fantastic archaeological finds are presented in four permanent and yearly changing exhibitions in the Museum Quintana.
