The idyllic town in Hohenlohe Land has been documented since 780. Approximately 400 years later, the Haltenbergstetten castle complex was built, which became closely intertwined with the history of Niederstetten. Due to its location in the Württemberg winegrowing region, the town evolved into one of the most important winemaking places in the region. Even the German poet Eduard Möricke was fond of it here. Today, Niederstetten serves as a starting point for hikes in the Main-Tauber district. It houses the local museum, the Albert Sammt Museum, the hunting, and the winemaking museum. Regular events include the Horse Market, Gourmet Market, Autumn Festival, Craft Days, and the Enchanted Christmas Market.
