St. Nikolaus-Kirche Etzelwang

Beschreibung

The hall church was built between 1717 and 1734. It consists of a nave, a choir closed on three sides in the east and a four-story church tower in the west, built between 1762 and 1765, which is covered with a slate-roofed onion dome on which sits a lantern crowned with an onion dome. The interior of the nave is covered with a stuccoed flat ceiling. The oil painting from the second half of the 18th century on the parapets of the three-sided galleries represents a Christological work cycle with explanations. The church furnishings include an altar from 1757, on whose altarpiece the resurrection of Jesus Christ is depicted, and the pulpit from the end of the 17th century .century. The organ was built in 1744 by Elias Hößler.
