Station: [13] Saddlery / Shoemaker's Workshop

Well, who’s this coming to visit? Puss in Boots? Do you need new shoes, little fellow? You've come to the right place!

Meow!

That's right; I'm the saddler and shoemaker. Anyone in need of shoes comes to see me. And so do folks who need a saddle or a new bridle for their horse. Or even people whose leather goods just need mending.

Because how would the farmers manage in the fields without sturdy footwear? And without nice, sturdy harnesses for their beasts?

I make all of these things in my workshop. You’re welcome to watch me, if you like. I have a wide range of tools and machinery: pliers and knives and hammers and, of course, lasts for shoe-making.

But joking aside, Puss. You're just the cat I was looking for. Have you noticed the mousetraps on the floor? This place is swarming with those little pests, and I would be very grateful if you could help me out and do a spot of mousing. I'll even make you a nice leather collar as a token of my gratitude. Agreed?

Meow!

Then we’re agreed. Let's get back to work. You go catch mice, and as for me ... I've got to finish the sewing on this shoe.

This is a special machine that can sew even the stiffest leather as if it were soft as butter... Great, huh? As my father used to say: having the right tools is half the job. And the other half is mastery of the craft.
