Station: [40] Model Roof – Techniques and Tools


This is your chance to take a close-up look at a metal-covered roof. To see how the metal roofing sheets are joined to each other, and how the transitions and angles are designed. And: to discover the tools required up on the roof, and down below in preparation.

The model was created as part of a training seminar that dealt specifically with old techniques. Here, you'll discover folding irons, corner seaming pliers and beam saws ... in different stages of development. Because, of course, the tools have continued to evolve and be perfected over the centuries. I'll present a few particularly handsome examples in a moment.
