Station: [1] Parking / Welcome

Hello and welcome to Ivenack, a rural community steeped in tradition and famous for its impressive 1,000-year-old oak trees. But there is much more to discover in this renowned tourist destination!

Did you know that Ivenack has a fully preserved Baroque castle complex? That Ivenack was once a stronghold of astronomy? That the Low German writer Fritz Reuter associated his fondest childhood memories with Ivenack? Or that today you can hike around the picturesque Lake Ivenack and admire works of art along the way?

If you want to learn more about our beautiful village, follow this audio tour. It will introduce you to the most important highlights of Ivenack in 10 stops. The tour, which will bring you back to the parking lot, will take about an hour. But of course, you can interrupt the tour at any time, take a break, and resume it at a later time.

Just come with us to the first stop. Leave the entrance to the oak trees behind you and walk along the street “Am Schloss.” After a few hundred meters, you will reach the heart of our village, the baroque castle complex. An imposing, semicircular building is our first stop: it is the former stables.
