Paul’s Letter to the Churches in Galatia: You are no longer a slave, but a son or daughter; and if a son or daughter, then also an heir. A woman responds to Paul this way: “I’m so busy with all these masters—they make my life hard enough as it is—that I don’t need another master, not your ‘Lord Jesus,’ Paul!” Go back one through nine fields. Another response: To be a child of God, to belong to the family, not to be a slave—yes, I want to claim God’s inheritance; I dare to do so. I want to be baptized. Move to the middle field and find your place in the congregation there so that the field is horizontal.
