Station: [3] Display board and Saint Barbara

There were countless tunnels here in the mountain, with the tunnel systems in the upper slope area, sloping southwards, extending over a length of 1.5 to 2 km.

The display board shows us the layout of the visitor tunnel. This is where we are. We now follow these arrows, past two pools of water, then walk back a short distance, over a bridge along the underground lake. After about 450 meters, we reach the exit.

This lady here is the patron saint of all miners, Saint Barbara.
We are also fortunate to say that since the gemstone mine opened as a visitor mine in June 1979, there has never been a collapse or accident.
So far, we have had about 3.5 million visitors.
