Salzbergen is a municipality in the southern Emsland (Lower Saxony) with around 8,400 inhabitants and is located on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia. - Oldest refinery in the world: Salzbergen is home to the oldest still-active oil refinery in the world, which has been in operation since the 19th century.
